Wayne E. Jones is currently President of WEJCO, INC., a diversified Exploration and Production Company, with operations in RRC District 2 and 7B; and with production from new field discoveries in 7B, (Mississippian Chappell Pinnacle Reef, Pennsylvanian Caddo Limestone and Barnett Shale). 

Specializations are creation and marketing of complete ready to drill prospects to third party investors resulting in multi-million dollar exploration ventures and numerous industry partners.

From 1995-1998, he was Vice President of Exploration for Ameritex Minerals of San Antonio, and created and directed in house 3-D seismic exploration efforts focused primarily in RRC Districts 2, and 4, using Unix workstations.  Regional trend concepts resulted in a $10MM exploration partnership with third party investors.  Primary exploration efforts were Expanded Eocene Wilcox, resulting in several discoveries.

From 1993-1995, he was an independent consultant and prospect generator for several exploration groups operating in RRC Districts 2 & 4.

From 1991- 1993, he originated Eocene Wilcox trend prospects for internal partners with Hankey Oil Co., in Houston.  Partners included CXY, OXY, Kerr McGee, and American Exploration.

From 1985-1991 he was an Independent Consulting Geologist, d/b/a/ WEJCO Ventures, at Canyon Lake, Texas, with discoveries in RRC 2.

Before that, he was co-owner of Socorro Energy, Inc., San Antonio, from 1981-1985, with numerous discoveries in RRC District 2 in the Eocene Wilcox sections.

Prior to that he was an Independent Consultant d/b/a Villa Enterprises, in San Antonio, from 1979-1981.

From 1979-1981 he was an Exploration Geologist for Gulf Energy Corp., San Antonio, working RRC Districts 4, and 7B.

Before that he was an Exploration Geologist with Suburban Propane Gas, Corp., San Antonio from 1977-1980.
